Minister of Ministry of Transportation – Mr. Dinh La Thang has signed Decision No. 2719/QĐ-BGTVT dated on July 30th 2015 on establishing the Steering Committee for Long Thanh International Airport implementation.

Therefore, the Steering Committee is consist of Minister of Ministry of Transportation Dinh La Thang – Leader; Deputy Minister of Ministry of Transportation Nguyen Nhat and Deputy Chairman of People Committee of Dong Nai Province – Deputy leaders; Chairman of Airports Corporation of Vietnam Nguyen Nguyen Hung – Permanent member; and other members including Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Lai Xuan Thanh, Director General of Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Hoang, Director General of Department of Enterprise Management Vu Anh Minh; Director General of PPP Project Management Unit Nguyen Danh Huy, Director General of Department of Finance Do Van Quoc.
Under National Assembly’s Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13 dated June 25th 2015, the Steering Committee has the responsibility to direct and supervise the agencies and units involved in developing and implementing the plan for Long Thanh international airport; regularly review and evaluate the situation and results of the implementation of the plan; timely identify issues and challenges in the implementation; and develop appropriate solutions to ensure the progress of the project is in accordance with the Resolution of the National Assembly's Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13.
